Claire Potter & Mark Greenwood
Claire Potter is an artist writer from Merseyside. Through published text, live performances and audio works, Claire addresses modes of reading and speaking bringing liveness, narrative and cadence to the attention of audiences. In 2014 Claire organised Shady Dealings With Language, an interdisciplinary event series exploring the intersection of art writing and performance in Leeds, London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Her first book Mental Furniture (VerySmallKitchen, 2014) is an experimental fiction that examines the relation of trauma to language, extracts of which are recorded as Mother To No Swimming Laughing Child (FortEvilFruit, 2015) in collaboration with noise musician and artist Bridget Hayden. Mark Greenwood is a performance artist/ writer originally from Newcastle and now based in Liverpool. He has presented work across the U.K, Europe and the United States. Utilising indefinite durational practice and minimal actions as art forms, Greenwood’s interests lie in anthropomorphic puzzles and inter-textual folds. Mark recently completed a PhD in Fine Art at Kingston University, London. His collected poems White Mice, All Colours were published by onec records in 2011.
